Enjoy an evening viewing of Spanish Paradise: Gardens of the Alhambra. The sounds of live Spanish guitar will fill the air as you sip a complimentary glass of wine while strolling around the Conservatory Courtyard pool. Performances by the trio Flamenco Inside/Out will introduce the traditional Spanish art form throughout the evening. Mix and mingle with the performers in between performances. Spanish ham and cheese platters, beer, sangria, and wine will be available for purchase. Cap off the evening with an authentic Spanish meal at one of our restaurant partners, offering discounts and deals just for Nights in the Gardens of Spain ticket holders. Your ticket will be valid for restaurant discounts through August 21.

July 14 Only: Gather around a giant pan of paella! A chef from Little Spain, a New Jersey restaurant specializing in authentic Spanish cuisine, will be cooking up his famous paella and offering samples of this most iconic dish. Gather around the large, aromatic paella pan to watch and learn how to prepare this exotic and delicious dish.

Ivan Max - Saturday, June 18

Ivan Max has been playing guitar for thirty years. Starting with rock and blues and later moving to classical and flamenco guitar, Ivan plays a wide variety of music. He currently performs regularly with the Numina Dance Company, a Flamenco trio; Choro Down Neck, a Brazilian choro group; and the Alborada Dance Company, a Flamenco company based in New Jersey. Ivan owns his own business in Montclair, N.J. called Church Street Guitar where he gives private instruction on the guitar.

Nathan Herrera - Saturday, June 25; Thursday, July 14; and Thursday, July 21

Nathan Herrera has been playing guitar since the age of 15. Herrera's mother and father, his first teachers, introduced him to flamenco and Spanish guitar through the recordings of the great guitar maestros. He has pursued his passion through master classes with Pepe Romero, LA Guitar Quartet, Adam Del Monte, and Oscar Guzman.

Herrera has also studied flamenco guitar and percussion in Seville, Spain with the accomplished guitarist Juan Nuñez as well as Juan Diego, and Antón Jiménez. He has worked with dancers such as Sandra Serrano, José Moreno, La Magdalena, Maya de Silva, and Miguel Vargas; singers Alfonso Cid, El Mati, and with master guitarist Antón Jiménez. In addition to enjoying success in performing solo and with various dance companies such as Oasis Flamenco, Flamenco Revolucíon, and the Florida Dance Theatre, Herrera has also made appearances on local and international television programs, commercials, newspapers, and magazines.
