Photographs were taken by Dr. Nancy Simmons of The American Museum of Natural History and Dr. Merlin Tuttle of Bat Conservation International. All bats portrayed are known or likely to occur in central French Guiana, though some photos were taken outside of the study area.



The bat, Carollia perspicillata, selecting a fruiting spike of a Piper (Piperaceae).
