New Taxa of Mosses Described From Central French Guiana

Only one new species to science has resulted from botanical exploration of central French Guiana. Several additional new species await publication. However, at least 18 mosses new to French Guiana have been collected, including two new to the Americas, Porothamnium stipitatum (Mitt.) Touw ex De Sloover, previously known only from tropical Africa (Enroth, 1996), and Porotrichum molliculum Broth.
