Information Regarding Loans
of Herbarium Specimens
Loans of specimens are made only to herbaria recognized in Index Herbariorum upon approval, by the Director of the Herbarium, of a written request for the loan (address below).

The Herbarium is open to any visitor, professional or amateur, with a legitimate reason to consult the collections. Anyone wishing to study the collections should make an appointment with the Herbarium office (address below).

The information on specimen labels is normally available to visitors without charge. There is, however, a charge of $30 per hour, when (in appropriate situations) the requested data are extracted and provided by a member of the Herbarium staff.
