Project Checklists and Databases

The Database

This Catalogue contains information from more than 118,000 specimens of vascular plant species collected in Eastern Brazil and housed in The New York Botanical Garden Herbarium. For each species that occurs also beyond the boundaries of eastern Brazil, the Catalogue contains information from specimens chosen to represent the general limits of the species' geographical range in Latin America.Specimens collected as part of the Project, including specimens from the various study sites, are included in the database, along with photos.

The Checklists

The checklists allow the user to scan a list of species known from each of the study sites.  While not as up-to-date as the database, the checklist provides a quick means of ascertaining the families, genera, and species known from each site.
