 The image above is of Australian specimens associated with Eucalyptus grandis in Queensland. The image at right is of Costa Rican material found under Quercus oleoides in Guanacaste. Singer et al. (Beih. Nova Hedwigia 102: 53-55. 1991) described the Mesoamerican collections as Austroboletus neotropicalis. The SEM, below, is from a Colombian collection. Austroboletus subvirens was originally described from Japan. |
