I felt that being able to capture this scene from an unusual perspective, and with the glow of light shining down, would bring out the calmness of the scene, where two lilies--one closed and one part open--drank in the morning sunshine.
At the rear of the pond in the Princess of Wales conservatory is a walkway to allow observation of underwater fish. From here you can get a shot across the pond from only a few centimetres above the water’s surface.
