Introduction

Welcome to the Everett Children’s Adventure Garden, a unique place where children learn plant science in a hands-on, inquiry-based environment.

Throughout their visit, students are engaged in discovery and fun, while observing hundreds of beautiful plants in a wide variety of colors, sizes, and shapes. Two indoor and four outdoor galleries serve as “living” classrooms, providing an ideal learning environment. Interactive exhibits in each gallery convey different plant science concepts and processes. Together they help answer these questions:

  • What are a plant’s parts?
  • What is the purpose of a flower ?
  • What do plants need to grow?
  • What do plant scientists do?
  • What is the scientific method?
  • What makes up a pond web of life?
  • What kind of habitat is a wetland?

These concepts can be taught using many areas and galleries of the Everett
Children’s Adventure Garden.
