Through January 7 at the Adventure Garden
Gingerbread Adventures and a Winter Wonderland of Gingerbread Houses features the confectionary creations of some of New York's best and most imaginative bakers, who have spent countless hours baking up this year's captivating display. Enveloped in the scents of ginger, cinnamon, and clove, this unique exhibit of five colorful gingerbread "houses" is sure to capture the imaginations of children and adults alike, while evoking all the wonder and magic of the holiday season.
Balthazar's famed pastry chef, Mark Tasker, has returned with his most ambitious gingerbread project yet: a large--and spinning--carousel complete with horses, balloons, and all sorts of festive ornaments and beautiful detail!
The Cake Studio's Jill Adams' creation illustrates nursery rhymes, including "There Was an Old Woman Who Lived in a Shoe," "Hickory, Dickory, Dock," and "Humpty Dumpty."
Kaye Hansen and Liv Hansen, of Riviera Bakehouse and co-authors of The Whimsical Bakehouse, have baked a delightful "gnome home" in the form of a cozy log cabin on a hill, surrounded by lively magical inhabitants.
Collette Foley of Collette Foley Specialty Baking served up a lovely, elaborate country bakery that even includes detailed miniature cakes in the windows.
Kate Sullivan of LovinSullivanCakes has crafted an entire gingerbread train station named "The Moose Caboose Sheds." While a friendly monkey station-manager appears to greet its visitors, an array of other fun animals "ride" on the train tracks around the whole display.
This family holiday adventure is not to be missed!
