Bugs and Brews: Halloween Fun for Grown-ups

Thrill the kid in you with spooky fun in the Adventure Garden while treating your adult side to bubbling artisanal beers and insect delicacies--if you dare! Insect expert David Gracer be on hand to talk about the art and nutrition of eating bugs around the world, share insect-eating stories and host a Q&A. Bronx Flavor star and culinary ambassador of the Bronx, Baron Ambrosia, will be on hand sharing some of his tales of odd culinary explorations with party goers.

Menu items to include samples of crunchy mealworms in a variety of flavors, cricket flour bread with honey, insect-embedded cookies, Green Papaya Salad with Water bugs, and Big Butt Ant Brittle. Complimentary beer includes Sam Adams Octoberfest, Blue Moon Harvest Moon Pumpkin Ale, and Spaten Oktoberfest, courtesy of Manhattan Distributors. Other food and beverages, such as sandwiches, cheese plates, soda, and water will be available for purchase.

The Ukaladies will be on hand performing cowboy love songs, Ruth Wallis medleys, favorites from the 30s and 40s, and a host of original hits!
