Gingerbread Adventures

Open during regular Garden hours for exploration

Children explore the spices that make up a classic gingerbread recipe. Kids can step inside a child-sized gingerbread playhouse and also decorate a gingersnap cookie with frosting and candies. All ages will enjoy viewing a display of gingerbread houses made by New York City-area bakers.

Guided activities follow the following schedule:

November 19 to December 16, 2011 and January 3 to January 16, 2012

Weekdays: 1:30 p.m.-5:30 p.m.

Weekends: 10:00 a.m.-6:30 p.m.

Peak Holiday Weeks: December 17, 2011 to January 2, 2012

Everyday: 10:00 a.m.-6:30 p.m.

Exception: December 19, 20, & 21-1:30 – 6:30 p.m. and December 24 - 10:00 a.m.-2:30 p.m.

All day long, kids can step inside a child-sized gingerbread playhouse and explore the outdoor galleries of the Adventure Garden. All ages will enjoy viewing a display of gingerbread houses made by New York City-area bakers. Families visiting before the guided activity sessions on weekdays, will be treated to a self-guided gingerbread treat bag.
