Profile

Jon is responsible for the documentation of the Garden’s living collections. This includes maintaining the accuracy of the computerized catalog of the collections by accessioning and de-accessioning plants; identifying plants and updating nomenclature; entering inventory, plant condition, and plant size data, and expanding plant descriptions. He works with Horticulture curatorial staff to maintain and develop the plant collections and to help ensure that the collections and their documentation meet the needs of the institution. Jon supervises the production and installation of display labels and works on interpretive projects including plant information videos for the Garden’s Web site. Jon holds Diplomas in Horticulture from the University of Guelph, Ontario and the Niagara Parks Commission School of Horticulture.
