    Wintertime Wonders

    Weekdays, 1:30–4:30 p.m.; Weekends, 10 a.m.–4:30 p.m.

    Inside the cozy Discovery Center, kids of all ages can take a closer look at the wonders of plants and animals in winter. Make bark rubbings, count tree rings, craft a bud necklace and head back into the winter garden with a field notebook to discover the vital sparks of life that lie just below the surface of this quiet season in the Northeast.

    A World of Plants

    10 a.m.–6 p.m.

    A showcase of the Garden’s living collections featuring lush tropical rain forests, cactus-filled deserts, curated displays of palms from around the world, aquatic and carnivorous plants, and much more.

    Plants and Fungi: Ten Current Research Stories

    10 a.m.–6 p.m.

    For more than a century, scientists at The New York Botanical Garden have traveled far and wide to better understand plants and fungi, their relationship to their environments, and their many uses by people around the world. Now you can get a glimpse of their groundbreaking work via this exhibition in the Britton Science Rotunda and Gallery.

    Wild Medicine in the Tropics

    10 a.m.–5 p.m.

    Explore the Enid A. Haupt Conservatory’s A World of Plants to discover plants used for health and wellness. The award-winning companion app, Wild Medicine, offers an in-depth look at the medicinal qualities of these plants.

    Celebrating The New York Botanical Garden: 125 Years Photographs by Larry Lederman

    For more than 13 years, renowned photographer Larry Lederman has been observing and photographing the Garden in all seasons and at all times of day. His captivating new photographs convey a unique artistic vision and the unparalleled natural beauty of NYBG at its most splendid.
