Discover, Decipher, Document, Defend: The Work of the International Plant Science Center
Technologically advanced and visually striking, the Pfizer Laboratory, the newest facility in the International Plant Science Center, provides the most powerful modern tools to investigate, among other things, the evolutionary relationships of plants and fungi and how genes function. The facility will further the Garden's urgent mission to discover, decipher, document, and defend Earth's vast biodiversity.
The Pfizer Laboratory houses the Lewis B. and Dorothy Cullman Program for Molecular Systematics Studies and the Garden's Genomics Program, including the New York Plant Genomics Consortium. It also serves as a home base for the Botanical Garden's large Graduate Studies Program and for visiting scholars from around the world.
