Dr. Rob Naczi discusses the Garden’s long-standing expertise on the plants of the northeastern United States and adjacent Canada, including plans for a completely updated field manual and new Web site that will enable users to identify plants growing in the wild in these areas. Following the talk is a walk in the Garden’s 50-acre original-growth Forest to examine plants of this northeastern deciduous-hemlock ecosystem, including introduced, invasive, and native species.
