This year I truly became a “flower photo fanatic” at NYBG. Although I live in New Haven, CT, a 90-100 minute car ride, still managed to make it down once a week for six weeks straight, brought guests, and returned home with lots of orchid mugs, totes and Orchid Show Books as gifts for friends plus the photos. Everyone that works at NYBG is so nice and friendly. The cymbidiums and paphiopedilums were my favs. Chatting with other visitors was also lots of fun. Unmet challenges: photographing zygopetalum, dialing out of macro mode, and getting there before 1 pm.
