I am so excited that you are able to do these blogs. Some of us have had such restricted areas of expertise in bryology – and have had to limit our field experiences because of job restrictions. But your blogs make the discovery real again! My best to you and your grad students.

We spent time there in February, when it was summer but got a surprise one morning to see a snow covered Mount Wellington. Great to see your photos of their winter. I admit, I had to look up the word “bryologist” to see what you were actually blogging about and there are alot of other words in this thread that are above my knowledge threshold, but it sounds like an excellent adventure – thanks for sharing it with us.
