Hello there!

Thanks for commenting, and you're in luck, we have some resources, just for you. Our Home Gardening Center has tipsheets aplenty that should be able to help you out. In addition, I saw this blog post from our friends at Garden Design Magazine yesterday, and I'm pretty sure you'll love it. Shade gardens are hard, but not impossible, though you'll probably have to give up on any dreams of growing an endless supply of your own marinara sauce. Sorry about that!

If you want some in-person inspiration, you should check out various parts of our Perennial Garden, the Azalea Garden, and the physical manifestation of the Home Gardening Center, where we have weekly gardening demos.

Good luck, and happy gardening!

Hey,

Love the blog, you def have a new follower.

I was wondering if you knew what kind of plants are good for heavily shaded gardens? we have a tiny tiny city garden, but it is surrounded by big oak trees which i suspect are sucking the life out of everything, couple that with it not getting an ounce of sun and me being a complete novice, i've no idea what to plant in there, everything from last year died.

thanks for your help!!
