Two different shrubs, two different gardens, two very similar photos; like color negatives of each other.

  1. Beautiful images. What are the shrubs? The pink one looks like an Azalea. The other??? Perhaps a Deutzia? Thanks.

  2. Ann Rafalko says:

Carolyn — The pink one is indeed an Azalea, ‘Hinomayo’ to be exact (it’s a personal favorite of mine, I greet her by name as I walk through the Garden). I’ll have to look up the other one, and I will try to get back to you! — Ann

  3. Ann Rafalko says:

Hi Carolyn — Per Jon Peter, the Garden’s Manager of Plant Records, the white one is Kolkwitzia amabilis – beautybush. Apt, no?
