Information for Buyers

The NYBG Press ships books to domestic and international destinations.

Book dealers who wish to use collect shipping may contact the Press to make arrangements.

Our shipping is calculated as follows:

Orders shipping within the 48 contiguous states, add $6 for one book and an additional $2 for each book thereafter.
For all other orders add $10 for one book and then $2 for each additional book.
For orders over 2 pounds, shipping may be recalculated on an order by order basis.

Taxes

Customers residing in New York State must calculate tax at 8.375% before adding shipping.

Returns for refund are accepted only from University/College bookstores, except in the case of books damaged before arrival. All books returned for refund must be shrink-wrapped and in new condition. A 10% re-stocking fee will apply. Please request permission and instructions before returning books.

Discount Schedule

Our discount schedule applies to subscription agents, bookstores, and book dealers. Discounts cannot be used in conjunction with sale/combination prices. If purchasing sale/combination items, the lower price will apply.

Orders that receive discounts must be placed directly with an NYBG Press customer service agent. These orders cannot be placed online.

Our discount schedule is as follows:

10% Off 1 copy of a single title
20% Off 2-24 copies of a single title
30% Off 25+ copies of a single title

Desk copies

Desk/examination copies of paperback books are available to College/University faculty at $6.00 per copy of a title. When making a request please provide, on institutional letterhead, contact information, class title, catalog number, anticipated enrollment and the semester/quarter of anticipated course offering. Please include a check or credit card number (with date of expiration and billing address) to cover shipping and handling. Please make your check payable to The New York Botanical Garden Press. Credit cards accepted are Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. Hardcover books are supplied for examination at the discretion of the publisher at a discount off the list price.
