Your holiday weekend plans are here with three days of fun! Taste the rich flavors and textures of fall during Honey & Harvest Weekend, from sweet, sticky honey to hearty harvest vegetables like squash and beets. You can also explore hordes of gourds and scarecrows in the Spooky Pumpkin Garden and get up close with creepy creatures during wildlife demonstrations.

Dig into the traditions of the season as we take in the Edible Academy’s bounty with honey samples, honey-inspired recipe tastings, and plenty of harvest fun in our state-of-the-art gardening and education center. Help water and harvest ripe vegetables in the garden beds, and stick around for cooking demonstrations from a variety of NYC chefs putting seasonal produce to it’s tastiest uses. Meet up with our busy bees as they work in their hive, and take in the sights and sounds of the season during this weekend dedicated to all things autumn.

While you’re there, don’t miss Creepy Creatures demonstrations in the nearby Clay Picnic Pavilions, where experts from local organizations will let you get up close and personal with reptiles like giant snakes, which may seem scary, but play a critical role in our ecosystems every day.

The holiday weekend’s set to be a blast, and we’ll be open on Monday as well. Come enjoy the crisp fall air with us at NYBG!
