From <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nybg.org\/blogs\/plant-talk\/2011\/07\/around-the-garden\/morning-eye-candy-macro-hemerocallis\/\">daylilies,<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nybg.org\/blogs\/plant-talk\/2011\/07\/photography\/morning-eye-candy-bee-utiful\/\">hibiscus<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nybg.org\/blogs\/plant-talk\/2011\/07\/around-the-garden\/a-summer-stroll-around-the-waterlily-pool\/\">waterlilies<\/a> and of course <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Ijeqs3Bf-D4\">roses<\/a>, summer gardens everywhere are swelling with colorful buds. But the same just can&#8217;t be said for most woody plants.<\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s what makes the subject of this week&#8217;s video plant profile so special.
