On October 5, kiku<\/em> will join Fall Flowers of Japan<\/em><\/a> in the historic Enid A. Haupt Conservatory! Don\u2019t miss these magnificent Japanese chrysanthemums trained to grow in a mesmerizing variety of shapes and styles. In anticipation, we\u2019re taking an in-depth look at these fascinating flowers.<\/p>\n

The kengai<\/em>, or ‘cascade,’ display evokes wild kiku<\/em> growing over a mountain cliff. The boat-shaped frame on which the kiku<\/em> is trained becomes covered with hundreds of small flowers all grown from a single stem.<\/p>\n[Not a valid template]\n
