It’s not just inside the Enid A. Haupt Conservatory<\/a> where the preparations for Monet’s Garden<\/em><\/a> are taking place. Behind the landmark building, in the Courtyard Pools, the Garden’s horticulture staff are preparing the stars of the show; water lilies<\/a>, including some varieties that Monet grew at Giverny.<\/p>\n\"Hardy<\/a>\n

Only the water lilies in the hardy pool, the one directly behind the Conservatory’s show galleries are included in Monet’s Garden<\/em><\/a>. Monet could only grow these hardy types at temperate Giverny.<\/p>\n\"Hardy<\/a>\n

But at the Garden<\/a> we grow tropical water lilies as well, and while they are not included in the show, the reflection on this pool–taken from a very rare angle–was too beautiful not to share.<\/p>\n\"Tropical<\/a>\n
