There are countless opportunities to hit the town this season, all of them at your fingertips, and Bar Car Nights<\/em><\/a> are easily among the best of the lot. In fact, last year’s evenings were such a smash with our visitors that we’re stepping up our game this time around.<\/p>\n

Saturday evenings throughout December, you’ll have the chance to experience the Holiday Train Show<\/em><\/a> in a slightly different light: one without the kids tugging at your coat. Trust me, that’s a huge change of atmosphere for this holiday classic. While we’ll be the first to tell you that this event is a picture-perfect family affair, we’re also sensitive to the fact that most of you see the season as a new source of stress–through shopping lists, in-laws, and more than a few family feasts to plan out.\u00a0<\/em>Consider\u00a0Bar Car Nights<\/em> the antidote to what ails you.

\nEach of our three events opens the Enid A. Haupt Conservatory<\/a> for a soft-lit evening under the lights, complimentary cocktail in hand for a proper homage to the long-gone bar cars of the New York rail system. And we’re happy to mix it up from week to week! Depending on when you join us, you’ll be treated to one of three themed highballs from Tuthilltown Spirits<\/a>, Quintessential Wines<\/a>, or NUVO Sparkling Liqueur. Beyond your complimentary drink, there will also be a cash bar on hand for further snacks and cocktails to tide you over as The Mistletones set the scene with seasonal a capella favorites. And so you don’t forget your experience, we’ll have a professional photographer making the rounds. Just leave a little time at the end of the night to visit our neighbors on Arthur Avenue, where a Bar Car Nights<\/em> ticket stub will snag you a discount on dinner at participating restaurants<\/a>.<\/p>\n\"\"<\/a>\n

Just think of this as a pause button on the holidays–one you can use to slip away from your obligations, if only for a single night. Of course, that’s only an option if you reserve tickets soon<\/a>!
