\"Piaget<\/a>If you’re looking out from the landing of its curling stairway, the Peggy Rockefeller Rose Garden<\/a> seems like a tickertape parade strewn with the confetti of 4,000 blooming rosebushes. They flaunt reds and pinks, downy salmon and peach, with bright bunches of whites and lemon yellows throughout. And the shapes and sizes of the spring blooms are too many to describe here. As a collection, this is one of the New York Botanical Garden<\/a>‘s crown jewels. But it could always be a bit brighter, a bit more colorful\u2014which leads us to the inaugural Piaget Rose Day<\/a>, taking place worldwide on Thursday, June 13!<\/p>\n

To celebrate our partnership with Piaget<\/a>, whose eye for fine zegarki<\/a> jewelry and flowers alike has defined over a century of aesthetic excellence, we’ll be gathering in the Rose Garden for a special groundbreaking. And this new addition is bound to turn some heads.

\n“Roses remind me of my childhood,” says Yves Piaget. “I remember the first time I fell in love with those wild roses called sweet briars, which grow at an altitude of 1,100 meters.” He’s since gone on to maintain the Piaget legacy as a renowned watchmaker-jeweller while championing the rosarian on the world stage. After years of serving on the jury of the Geneva International New Rose Competition, 1982 saw him awarded with an eponymous rose, a memorable Meilland<\/a> creation recalling the profile of a purple peony. Now, this stand-out stunner will find a home in our own rose beds.<\/p>\n

The frilly beauty of the ‘Yves Piaget’ rose, with its 80 lace petals and powerful perfume, is bound to cut an elegant figure among the 600+ varieties already living in our Rose Garden.
