Kate Sullivan of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cakepower.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Lovin Sullivan Cakes<\/a>, Manhattan, gave life to the tale of the <em>Three Little Pigs<\/em>, with a big, bad wolf at the front door. Liv and Kaye Hansen of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rivierabakehouse.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Riviera Bakehouse<\/a>, Ardsley, tell the story of <em>The Pied Piper of Hamelin<\/em> with confectionary rats overrunning the town.<\/p>\n<p>Irina Brandler of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sugarandspiceonline.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Sugar and Spice Bake Shop<\/a>, the Bronx, offered her rendition of the Russian folklore witch Baba Yaga, who \u201clives in a house which walks about on chicken legs,\u201d and Mark Tasker of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.balthazarbakery.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Balthazar Bakery<\/a>, Manhattan, created a red-and-white circus tent, \u201cGreatest Show in the Big Apple,\u201d with a rotating center ring inside.<\/p>\n<p>Come and have fun as I\u2014and the moms and kids around me\u2014did picking out the types of candy and other treats that creatively construct each design: frosted cereal as roof tiles, candy canes as columns, pretzel sticks as firewood, bubblegum as a ceiling light fixture, and so much more.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nybg.org\/visit_the_garden\/tickets.php\" target=\"_blank\">Get Your Tickets<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Enchanting Gingerbread Houses on View Carol Capobianco is Editorial Content Manager at The New York Botanical Garden.
