And new this year, we&#8217;re taking things a step further with a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nybg.org\/frida\/programs_families.html\">full schedule<\/a> of fall\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nybg.org\/frida\">FRIDA KAHLO<\/a><\/em> programming geared toward families who&#8217;re looking for something more than the average Halloween outing!<\/p>\n<p>Take a break from the haunted houses and join NYBG in the coming weeks for some of the most lively <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nybg.org\/frida\/programs_weekend.html\">D\u00eda de los Muertos activities<\/a> you&#8217;ll find in New York.<\/p>\n<p>Kids and adults alike are welcome at the Garden in late October, when we highlight the Mexican Day of the Dead with two festive weekends of stilt-dancers, live music, food, and fun for all ages\u2014with events throughout the garden on October 24, 25, 31, and November 1. Our first D\u00eda de los Muertos Weekend also happens to feature a fan-favorite in <a href=\"http:\/\/villafanestudios.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Ray Villafane<\/a>, who returns to the Garden with his team of artists for two days of live pumpkin carving\u2014some of the biggest and heaviest gourds in the country!\u2014creating creepy creatures inspired by traditional <em>calaveras<\/em> characters.<br \/>\n<!--more--><br \/>\nBeginning October 10, weekends at NYBG also highlight the return of Gone Batty! Start the night with Lucrecia Novoa&#8217;s skeleton puppets greeting you in the Visitor Center, then head out to explore in between stops for snacks and live music by Rana Santacruz. Listen to ghost stories, decorate your own D\u00eda de los Muertos skull, and venture out on the Whole Foods Market\u00ae Trick-or-Treat trail!
