Live performances from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.calpullidance.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Calpulli Danza Mexicana<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/jaranabeat.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Jarana Beat<\/a>, and <a href=\"http:\/\/villalobosbrothers.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">The Villalobos Brothers<\/a> with Los Chinelos de Morelos dancers take over the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nybg.org\/gardens\/conservatory\/\" target=\"_blank\">Conservatory<\/a> lawn and steps throughout the weekend. Giant skeletons, <em>La Catrina<\/em> puppets, and Los Zancudos de Zaachila stilt dancers will be roaming the Garden for all to enjoy. In addition see the Day of the Dead <em>ofrenda<\/em>, or altar, honoring Kahlo in the Conservatory, and <a href=\"http:\/\/humbertospindola.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Humberto Sp\u00edndola<\/a>&#8216;s <em>The Two Fridas<\/em> come alive (literally)\u00a0in the Library Rotunda.\u00a0You&#8217;ll also have fun with hands-on activities such as mask-making and face painting.<\/p>\n<p>And because Halloween is right around the corner, we are pleased to welcome back master carver <a href=\"http:\/\/villafanestudios.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Ray Villafane<\/a>, who will carve a giant pumpkin inspired by the Day of the Dead.
