This weekend offers several tours that highlight the season’s\u00a0most picturesque parts of NYBG<\/a> as part\u00a0of a brisk winter walk. Our ongoing exhibition, Wild Medicine in the Tropics<\/a><\/em>, is on view in the warmth of the Enid A. Haupt Conservatory<\/a>, so warm up inside the landmark glasshouse as you admire the curative bounty of tropical plants on display.<\/p>\n

In the meantime, Valentine’s Day<\/a> is around the corner, and it’s not too early to start planning a romantic day with that special someone.\u00a0We’re pleased to offer a full afternoon of tours, talks, chocolate tastings, and even a pop-up bar in the Haupt Conservatory<\/a>. Complete your intimate celebration with a full-service dining experience\u00a0at the Hudson Garden Grill<\/a>, where a special prix fixe lunch menu is available through February 25.<\/p>\n

\nMeet by the Reflecting Pool<\/em>
\nThe diverse habitats of the Botanical Garden offer visitors a chance to see dozens of species of birds throughout the year. Bring your binoculars and walk the Garden grounds with an expert to learn about bird-friendly habitats, migrating species, and birds that make a permanent home at the Garden.<\/p>\n

Winter Wonderland Tree Tour – 12:30 p.m.<\/strong>
\nMeet at the Reflecting Pool<\/em>
\nEmbark on an invigorating 45- minute walk to view the Garden\u2019s stately conifer collection<\/a> and old growth forest<\/a> in the beauty of winte<\/a>r. Even in cold weather there\u2019s plenty of interest in our gardens and collections.<\/p>\n

Ladies’ Border Tour – 12:30 p.m.<\/strong>
\nMeet at the Reflecting Pool at the Leon Levy Visitor Center<\/em>
\nCradled in the protection of the Conservatory is a 260-foot-long experiment known as the Ladies’ Border<\/a>. Join us for a wintery closer look of this southern-facing garden where unusual half-hardy plants not normally grown in New York get a chance to prove their worth on “foreign soil.”<\/p>\n

Perennial Garden Tour – 2:30 p.m.<\/strong>
\nMeet at the Reflecting Pool at the Leon Levy Visitor Center<\/em>
\nJoin a Garden Guide for a tour of the Jane Watson Irwin Perennial Garden<\/a>, which combines a vast palette of colors, textures, flowers, and foliage to create interest in every season.<\/p>\n
