\"Orchid<\/a>With the arrival of our 14th annual Orchid Show<\/em><\/a> begins the most immersive season yet of this popular event series, with more music, refreshments, programs, and yes, specialty cocktails, than ever. With nine of these special evenings planned for select Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays throughout March and April<\/a>, now is the time to\u00a0plan your evening escape<\/a> to the world of Orchidelirium<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n

There’s no better way to experience The Orchid Show<\/a><\/em> than with delicious snacks and cocktails when the Enid A. Haupt Conservatory<\/a> is filled with the aroma of orchids and\u00a0the evening sky is visible from within\u00a0the glasshouse. Our friends at STARR Events provide specialty drinks and treats\u2014including the Orchid Evenings<\/a> signature cocktail, the Ginger Vanilla Fusion, a delicious blend of vanilla bean-infused vodka and ginger inspired by the Vanilla that comes from the\u00a0Vanilla planifolia<\/em> orchid.<\/p>\n

This year NYBG is thrilled to welcome an exciting lineup of NYC DJs<\/a>\u00a0to enhance the atmosphere. Visiting dance and music\u00a0ensembles\u00a0from a variety of\u00a0international traditions reflect the wide world of orchids\u2014a flower with tens of thousands of species ranging across the globe. On March 5 & 26, visitors will have the chance to enjoy an informal and enlightening\u00a0talk with one of NYBG’s own scientists about the more rare and unique varieties of this enigmatic plant.<\/p>\n

Orchid Evenings<\/a> run from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. While ticket\u00a0purchasers\u00a0are admitted during that time and are welcome to visit NYBG Shop<\/a>, you will need to select an entrance time to the Enid A. Haupt Conservatory<\/a> when\u00a0purchasing your ticket<\/a>\u2014either\u00a0 6:30, 7, or 7:30 p.m. There is no limit on how much time you may spend inside the Conservatory<\/a> once you enter. Tickets are $25 for Members and $35 for Non-Members<\/a> and include one complimentary featured cocktail.<\/p>\n\"Orchid<\/a>\n

For those who want to enjoy the VIP experience, this year’s Orchid Evenings<\/a> include the all-new Young Garden Circle Lounge<\/a>. A $100 ticket entitles you to skip the line access to the Conservatory, where\u00a0an exclusive space in the Conservatory’s<\/a> stunning Aquatics house offers\u00a0an open bar, a live DJ, and light bites. This experience\u00a0is brought to you by the Young Garden Circle Patrons Program<\/a>, a community of art and garden enthusiasts ages 21-40.
