I visited The New York Botanical Garden with my parents and then wrote about why my classmates should also make a trip there.

The first reason why you should go is because of the beautiful trees. Some of them are magnolia, cherry, conifer, and crabapple. Most of these bloom in springtime. In the fall, the trees remain beautiful because of the foliage. There are many other kinds of trees. Maybe you’ll learn about a new tree.

The second reason why you should go is because of all the beautiful flowers. There are so many flowers in the Botanical Garden. You can see lilacs, tulips, roses, peonies, orchids, daylilies, and chrysanthemum. These are just some of the flowers you may see on your visit. You might even see butterflies flying around the flowers.

The excitement doesn’t stop there. You can see the Peggy Rockefeller Rose Garden, the Enid A. Haupt Conservatory, and the Rock Garden. If you visit the Rose Garden, you’ll see pink and red roses. If you visit the Conservatory (though it’s now temporarily closed for refurbishment), you’ll get to know what it is like to be in the desert, the forest, and the rain forest. You can also see other magnificent flowers. If you visit the Rock Garden, you can see rocks and a beautiful waterfall.

Now you know why going to the Botanical Garden is a must. You will get to see trees, flowers, and many other things. The adventure doesn’t stop there! You can even grow your own plants at home. Visit Shop in the Garden for plants to start your own garden!

11-Year-Old Student Persuades Classmates to Come See the Trees, Flowers Huston S.
