The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/newyorkbotanicalgarden\/5411116533\/\" target=\"_blank\">Chinese witch-hazel<\/a> has unfurled its <a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/newyorkbotanicalgarden\/5411116595\/\" target=\"_blank\">sunny, yellow streamers<\/a>, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nybg.org\/blogs\/plant-talk\/2011\/01\/photography\/morning-eye-candy-a-scrim-of-snow\/\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Magnolia kobus<\/em> near the Visitor Center<\/a> is covered in buds, and there&#8217;s still a faint glow in the sky when we all head to <a href=\"http:\/\/nybg.tumblr.com\/post\/2976464423\/metro-north-probably-is-one-of-the-easiest-ways-to\" target=\"_blank\">Botanical Garden station<\/a> to catch the 6:04 p.m. train back into the city. But, this is not to say that we all couldn&#8217;t use another assurance that spring is on its way. And isn&#8217;t the promise of being taught how to arrange the most gorgeous, fragrant spring flowers&#8211;lilies of the valley, muscari, lilacs&#8211;by two of Brooklyn&#8217;s most <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2010\/08\/05\/garden\/05flower.html\" target=\"_blank\">sought-after florists<\/a> the very thing to raise your spirits?<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nybg.org\/edu\/adulted\" target=\"_self\">Adult Education department<\/a> at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nybg.org\" target=\"_self\">The New York Botanical Garden<\/a> is very pleased to announce <a href=\"http:\/\/little-flower-school.blogspot.com\/2011\/02\/new-classes-with-nybg.html\" target=\"_blank\">three new floral arranging classes<\/a> to be taught by Sarah Ryhanen of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.saipua.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Saipua<\/a> and Nicolette Owen of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nicolettecamille.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Nicolette Camille<\/a>, known collectively as <a href=\"http:\/\/little-flower-school.blogspot.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">The Little Flower School<\/a>.<\/p>\n<figure style=\"width: 360px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"http:\/\/little-flower-school.blogspot.com\/2010\/05\/spring-flowers-101-class-results.html\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\" \" title=\"Arrangement from Spring Flowers 101 - Photo courtesy of The Little Flower School\" src=\"http:\/\/1.bp.blogspot.com\/_fmtXqJ4ehfU\/S_wp7VohMbI\/AAAAAAAAAYc\/gsKlFrT1mwc\/s1600\/spring+flowers+1.jpg\" alt=\"Arrangement from Spring Flowers 101 - Photo courtesy of The Little Flower School\" width=\"360\" height=\"288\" \/><\/a><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Arrangement from the class Spring Flowers 101, photo courtesy of the Little Flower School<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><a href=\"&lt;\/dd\">The first class, <strong> <\/strong><\/a><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/conted.nybg.org:8080\/WebModule\/jsp\/ed2df.jsp?df1=slayout&amp;df3=&amp;df4=LNB&amp;df5=114FLO931&amp;df7=bio__103729\" target=\"_self\">Fragrant Flowers<\/a><\/strong>, will be held on Wednesday, May 16 from 6-9 p.m in Manhattan at our <a href=\"http:\/\/conted.nybg.org:8080\/WebModule\/jsp\/ed2df.jsp?df1=static&amp;df3=location&amp;df5=location#MDTN\" target=\"_self\">Midtown Center<\/a>. The class will focus on the art of layering flowers, not just to form a pleasing arrangement, but also to create an amazing aroma.<\/p>\n<p>On Saturday, June 4, from 10 a.m.-3:30 p.m. join Sarah and Nicolette at the Garden for <a href=\"http:\/\/conted.nybg.org:8080\/WebModule\/jsp\/ed2df.jsp?df1=slayout&amp;df3=&amp;df4=LNB&amp;df5=114FLO930A&amp;df7=bio__103729\" target=\"_self\"><strong>From Garden to Vase<\/strong><\/a>. The class will begin with a curator-led tour of the Garden, and then after a break for lunch students will head inside to make wild, lush arrangements inspired by the Garden and featuring some very special cuttings from the grounds!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/conted.nybg.org:8080\/WebModule\/jsp\/ed2df.jsp?df1=slayout&amp;df3=&amp;df4=LNB&amp;df5=121FLO930B&amp;df7=bio__103729\" target=\"_self\"><strong>From Garden to Vase<\/strong><\/a> will be repeated on Sunday, September 11 from 10 a.m. &#8211; 3:30 p.m. to take advantage of fall&#8217;s beautiful flowers, fruit, and foliage.<\/p>\n<p>We are so excited to have Sarah and Nicolette joining us for these amazing classes at the Garden!
