CONCLUSIONS

  • Lecythidaceae are pollinated by bees, bats, and possibly beetles
  • Lecythidaceae are dispersed by animals, wind, and water.
  • Flower, fruit, and seed morphology and anatomy reflect adaptations for dispersal.
  • Although much is known about Lecythidaceae, there is still a great deal to learn.
