The genus Petitia (Verbenaceae: Viticoideae)
in the Greater Antilles.

A taxonomic revision of the genus Petitia Jacq. in Cuba is presented. The presence of two species: P. domingensis and P. urbanii is verified. The distribution of the Antillean taxa is presented; P. domingensis var. domingensis is the widest distributed. The ecology and distribution of the Cuban species are analyzed, where P. domingensis shows great ecological plasticity.
