Graphidaceae of Central French Guiana

Thallus moderately thick, crustose, corticolous, closely appressed to bark and sometime overgrowing other epiphytes, thickly prosoplectenchymatous, ± uniform, continuous, greenish wet-cement gray , P-. Ascomata lirelline, mostly subsessile to emergent with more than ½ of the exciple above thallus surface,the rest immersed, 1-4 mm long by ca. 0.5 mm wide, few-branched, flexuose to repeatedly sinuous; with thick prosoplectenchymatous veil almost all the way to the apex, exposing very narrow thinly veiled (and so grayish) black exciple apically, exciple carbonized throughout,closed below, entire above to weakly and obscurely striate at base of margins or rarely at apices and then shallowly., lips convergent, disk not exposed, Hymenium not inspered, rounded below, hypothecium colorless, paraphyses very narrow, clavate above. Spores6-8 loucular, I+ blue, 5-8x23-32µ, tapered to one end at least when young and occasionally very thick walled almost round lumina in older spores, mostly ± oblong. No liichen substances.

This seems fairly close to Graphis sp. Buck 25826 except for striae and prosoplectenchymatous veil to apex.
