Graphidaceae of Central French Guiana

Graphis sp. May 4111b

Thallus thin, whitish-creamy, continuous, closely appressed to thallus, thinly corticate throughout. P-Ascomata ca. 1-2 mm long, quite narrow and unbranched, flexuose, weakly several striate above, naked. Exciple carbonized, open below, closed above so disk not at all exposed. Hypohymenium yellowish-orange to brown, hymenium not inspersed but paraphyses with obvious oil droplets. Spores 6-7 locular, slightly tapered at one end, less 17-20x 7-8µ. This seems near G. subelegans Nyl. but spores are smaller than this taxon and no reddish tissue is present below excipular walls.
