Thallus corticolous, thin, epiphloeodal, pale greenish gray to whitish, uneven and minutely roughened and ridged, ± uniform, continuous, K-, P+ orange (protocetraric), UV+ greenish. Ascomata abundant, short and stout, .5 - I mm long by .5 mm wide, sessile with thick white thalline continuous veil, constricted below, with very fine striations along veil. Exciple carbonized, throughout, entire, convergent above with large locule, not inspersed, hymenium I+ blue near upper margins, paraphyses very fine, capilliform, ca. 1µ wide, dense.
