Cyptotrama asprata (Berk.) Redhead & Ginns

This wood-inhabiting, bright yellow agaric with a granulose pileus is widely distributed world-wide. It can be found in non-ectotrophic forests of Costa Rica, although infrequently. Some agaricologists would place this taxon in the genus Xerulina.
