Lactarius rimosellus

The orange brown colors and watery white latex are distinctive. The elements of the pileipellis are spherical and break up with age giving the pileus surface an areolate to rimose appearance. As with most of the other Lactarii included in this treatment, L. rimosellus is of north temperate origin and has migrated with oaks to Costa Rica.
