Katie, a well-known natural history artist who is also an instructor in the Garden's Botanical Art and Illustration program, has joined several NYBG ecotours to Central and South America. On the Amazon 1998 tour she directed a successful art program, offering instruction, encouragement, and criticism to twelve participants travelling on the "artists' boat."

Victoria travels frequently to the tropics and has exhibited her work in Brazil, Argentina, and Uruguay. Since the mid-1970's her work has been about tropical nature.

Joe is a Professor of Fine Art at Pratt Institute. He has illustrated about 20 children's books and his work has appeared in Time and Newsweek. He has exhibited his work in 16 single-artist shows and many national group exhibitions.
