Bibliographic works of Thomas Zanoni published in Moscosoa.

The series 'Bibliography of Carribean Botany' prepared by Thomas Zanoni first appeared in no. 5 of the Flora of Greater Antilles Newsletter. It was presented as a continuation of the 'Bibliografía botánica del Caribe' series published in Moscosoa between 1986 and 1993, and, at the same time, integrated an other bibliographical series, 'Bibliografía de la flora y de la vegetación de la Isla Española.' published between 1984 and 1993 in the same journal. These works represent a lot of information and include older literature. Therefore, it was highly desirable to make these papers available to the users of the Flora of Greater Antilles web site. The Jardín Botánico Nacional "Dr. Rafael M. Moscoso," Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, publishers of the journal Moscosoa, kindly gave permission for the inclusion of these bibliographies on this web site.

These articles are here available in two formats: pdf files and htm files. Pdf files show the original pages as published in Moscosoa and are fully searchable through the Find function of Adobe Reader™. This is possible because the pictures made from the printed pages were submitted to a character recognition program, OmniPage Pro 11™. This program also produced text files used as sources files to make html files. This process implied many verification steps. Thomas Zanoni provided corrections to the original papers. Thereafter, errors in character recognition and other errors not previously found were corrected. Html files are the best version for exactness as no mistake should remain. However, they cannot be searched into as efficiently as the pdf files are. Please note that diacritic marks must be taken into account. Finally, dashes used to avoid author's name repetition in the original publications have been replaced by what they were supposed to mean, even in pdf files where they remain invisible in the picture but still searchable (try it!). There is a glitch however as the highlighted zone will be somewhat shifted to the right.

Comments are warmly welcome from readers, particularly those concerning omitted errors.
