Garden News: Say Yes to Orchid Evenings

Posted in The Orchid Show on March 27 2013, by Ann Rafalko

We call Orchid Evenings one of New York City’s most romantic date destinations. But don’t take our word for it!

But don’t worry, these nighttime cocktail parties at The Orchid Show aren’t only about romance and proposals, they’re also about fun, flowers, and cocktails and make for the perfect outing for groups of friends and families, tourists and locals alike. If a picture’s worth a thousand words, footage spins the entire tale! Our second Orchid Evening of the year went off with an elegant bang, and as proof of why this event is fast becoming an early spring tradition, the sold out soiree set the stage for more than just a dash of romantic ambiance. The Orchid Show has been a date destination for thousands of New Yorkers over the last decade, but when the lights go down, it’s all the more likely that you’ll spot a few engagement rings glittering in the audience.

Since demand for tickets has been so high (the first two sold out) we have added a slew of new dates, including many Fridays, making Orchid Evenings the perfect post-work week wind down. It’s easy to get to the Garden from midtown Manhattan, just hop on a Metro-North Railroad Harlem Line train to Botanical Garden Station at Grand Central Terminal. In 20 minutes you’ll be transported to the tropics, whether it’s really spring or not! Now doesn’t that like the ideal way to celebrate the evening?
