Additional Information

Azaleas

Azaleas (Rhododendron spp.) are found in various places across NYBG, but they are the star of the show in the Maureen K. Chilton Azalea Garden, where the incredible diversity and beauty of these popular garden shrubs is on full display. The spectacle of the Mother’s Day slope covered in painterly swaths of pink, white, and fuchsia is all thanks to selections of Asian evergreen azaleas which peak around the second or third week of May. Don’t forget this garden has a lot of plant diversity and looks beautiful in all seasons!

To find specific azaleas and rhododendrons on a map, check out Plant Tracker.
