Crazy for Composting 2026: Activity Proposals

Proposals Due by December 1, 2025

Join us for Crazy for Composting 2026 at the New York Botanical Garden, where compost enthusiasts, environmental advocates, and community changemakers come together to celebrate and explore the power of community composting! This year’s theme, “Composting as Resilience: Community Composting for Our Collective Future,” will highlight how local composting efforts build stronger, more sustainable communities in the face of climate change and environmental injustices.

If you’re interested in facilitating an activity at Crazy for Composting 2026, please share your proposal with us! We’re seeking dynamic, hands-on presentations, workshops, and information tables that connect composting science and community composting practices with climate solutions. We are unable to offer compensation, but all facilitators will receive a free lunch and NYBG admission. This year’s conference has space for 2 presentations, 12 workshops, and 12 information tables. Please contact compost@nybg.org with any questions about the proposal process or the conference itself.
