Puppeteer’s Cooperative: Flower Power Banner Workshop and Parade

June 13, 2026

1 to 4 p.m. | Adventure Garden

A group of colorfully dressed characters dance with children in a garden settingFlowers appeared on earth around 150 million years ago. It was a revolution of evolution as plants partnered with birds, bees, bats, wind, and water to spread blossoms all over the world. Every culture celebrates the phases of life with flowers. They’ve made their way into our food, medicine, rituals, and art for 10 thousand years, and several countries have flowers as their flag. Theresa Linnihan, theater artist and puppeteer, invites you to print your own flower flag and parade with a host of others through the New York Botanical Garden in celebration of Flower Power!
