The New York Botanical Garden will host the most beautiful event of the winter season, The Orchid Dinner, at the Plaza Hotel on Thursday, February 25, 2027. Known for its extravagant centerpieces, showcasing the talents of leading floral artists, The Orchid Dinner provides important support for NYBG’s plant-research, conservation and education efforts.
Guests are invited to enjoy cocktails and a sale of rare and exceptional orchids curated by NYBG’s expert horticulturists, followed by an elegant dinner and dancing.
This year’s event will take a cue from The Orchid Show concurrently on view at NYBG, designed by landscape artists Andy Cao and Xavier Perrot, who conjure a shimmering dreamscape of crystal, water, and incredible orchids.
Proceeds from The Orchid Dinner help advance NYBG’s efforts to study, safeguard, and celebrate the world’s orchids and other plants (including fungi!), while protecting the planet we share to cultivate a greener future for us all.”
