Join us for an Amazing Compost Race and collaborative artmaking event in partnership with The Brotherhood Sister Sol, BroSis Green Youth Market, Regiven Environmental Project, and Regiven Compost Jewels. Participants will join us in a compost-themed scavenger hunt starting at Johnny Hartman Plaza, learning about the compost process while collecting various materials as participants race their way to prizes and collaborative mural making at Frank White Memorial Garden. The mural will be made with organic materials such as beetroot, turmeric, and chlorophyll, drawing on inspiration from the surrounding garden and urban ecosystems. This event is free and open to all.

This event is funded in part by the Humanities of NY Action Grant through the Herbarium + Community Initiative, an interdisciplinary collaboration between community members and the NYBG Herbarium, Humanities Institute, and Bronx Green-Up.
