How are community gardeners in the South Bronx building spaces for healing and education while leading the fight against toxic industries? Learn more about environmental justice organizing in Mott Haven and Port Morris as we visit community gardens and industrial sites on a 4-mile bus- and bike-tour.
Can’t make it to the tour, but want to join the community gathering afterwards? Listen to speakers and enjoy lunch by La Morada and B-Blossom Catering at 128 Lincoln Ave. from 2 to 3 p.m.
- 10:45 a.m. – Check-in at 128 Lincoln Avenue
- 11 a.m. – Tour Begins at 128 Lincoln Avenue
- 12 p.m. – Waste Management
- 12:30 p.m. – 132nd Street Pier
- 1 p.m. – 138th Street Community Garden
- 1:30 p.m. – Brook Park Community Garden
- 2 p.m. – Community Gathering and Meal at 128 Lincoln Ave.
- 3 p.m. – Closing
