Eco-Gardening Certificate Course

April 15, 22, & 29; May 6 & 13, 2026

6 to 8 p.m. | Online

Fostering a Climate-Smart Bronx!

In this certificate course, we’ll explore how our garden spaces are deeply connected to the local ecology through five virtual, interactive two-hour modules, complemented by eight hands-on hours. Together, we’ll journey through time, examining historical Bronx landscape maps, analyzing the impact of climate change on the borough, and discovering the diverse plants and animals that call the Bronx home. We’ll also dive into strategies for conserving and protecting our local waterways.

This workshop is designed to equip individuals and communities with the knowledge and tools to explore, protect, and nurture their local ecosystems—whether in community gardens, urban farms, or other green spaces.

Required for Certification:

  • Attend 5 virtual classes (April 15, 22, & 29; May 6 & 13 | 6 to 8 p.m.)
  • 8 hands-on activity hours
  • Completion of Action Plan Project

Priority will be given to Bronx community gardeners, but others are welcome if space allows.
Registration is required by March 27, 2026.
